Rorke’s Drift

Perhaps one of the most famous battles of the Anglo Zulu War was the defence of Rorke’s Drift 22/23 January 1879, where the British forces under overwhelming odds managed to hold off the Zulu onslaught, with 11 Victoria Crosses being awarded.
